Patrick Charles Christian, 37, of Gladewater, was arrested for possession of marijuana (>50 <=2,000 LBS) and transported to the Gregg County Jail Saturday. Christian’s bond has been set at $10,000.
According to Sheriff Maxey Cerliano and the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office the arrest led to the seizure of 200 pounds of marijuana.
At about 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 15th, Gregg County Deputies responded to 166 Spokane Street in Gladewater for a suspicious person call.
While speaking with the complainant, deputies noticed the odor of marijuana and asked for consent to search the residence. Upon the resident refusing consent, a warrant was obtained and Deputies subsequently located over 212 pounds of marijuana valued at nearly $130,000. Also found on the property were digital scales, a grinder and five firearms.
