Floyd C. McNutt
Services for Floyd C. McNutt, 90, of Tyler, were scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 14, 2010 in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Starrville Cemetery.

Floyd was born May 26, 1920 in Starrville to the late William and Mary McNutt. He passed away peacefully on August 11, 2010 in Canton.
He graduated from Gladewater High School and served in the US Army during WWII. After his service in the Army, he worked for McWilliams Furniture and retired from Texas Eastman, and was also a member of Sylvania Church.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Grace Evelyn Johnson McNutt and Elaine Woodall McNutt; brothers, Jack, Billy, George and J.W. McNutt; and a grandson, Brandon Howell.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Robert Putnam of Wills Point, Joan Howell of Greenville, Janet and Joe Gonzalez of College Station; sisters and brother-in-law, Inez and Ray Snider and Allyne Hall, all of Tyler; grandchildren, Amanda Howell Rasch, Scott Howell, Paul and Robin Putnam, and Josh Gonzalez; and twelve great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Craig Smith, Steve Smith, Scott Howell, Paul Putnam, Ray Snider, and Harold Smith. |

Gladewater – Visitation for Judy Ann Valentine of Gladewater, were held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.

Born on December 10, 1949, in Waskom, Texas, she died on Friday, August 13, 2010. She was retired from Fleetwood RV’s of Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Dana Valentine of White Oak; son Doug Valentine of Gladewater; daughter, Tammy Brewer of White Oak; 5 grandchildren; 6 brothers, Jack Croley, Jr of Big Sandy; Jerry Croley of Longview; Jimmy Croley of Hallsville; Jerold Croley and Johnny Croley, both of Gladewater; and Jeff Croley of Sulphur Springs; 4 sisters, Janice Goggins of Gladewater; Gail Melling of Greer, South Carolina; Jacqueline Kerr of Gladewater; and Jeanna Gage of Henderson; several nieces and nephews.

Gladewater – Visitation for John Perry Cottle, 68 of Gladewater, were held on Thursday, August 12, 2010, from 6 to 8 pm at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. No further services were planned.
Born on January 9, 1942, in Allen, Texas, he died on Monday, August 9, 2010. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a welding supervisor, and a Baptist.

Billy Ray Johnston
Gladewater – Services for Billy Ray Johnston, 77, of Gladewater, were held Friday, August 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Reverend B.F. Risinger officiating. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery.
Born on October 13, 1932, in Gilmer, Texas, to Charles Bert and Mary Pearl Johnston, he died on Sunday, August 8, 2010.
A 1951 graduate of Gladewater High School, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in 1955. For ten years he was employed as a land man for Texaco. He then was employed at the Gladewater First State Bank as teller and later vice president. He concluded his banking career as president of the Gladewater Federal Savings and Loan.
