Mike Simmons, currently the director of the Kilgore College Fire Academy, was introduced Monday at Gladewater City Hall as this next Gladewater Fire Chief.
City Manager Ricky Tow, addressing council members as well as Gladewater firefighters and police officers, said Simmons was selected out of a field of 22 applicants.
