The Upshur County Grand Jury recently returned 15 indictments, six of them sealed, and no-billed three cases in Gilmer, said District Attorney Billy Byrd.
Defendants, charges, and bond information in the Nov. 7 open indictments were as follows, Byrd’s office reported:
Jeffery Crist Turner, 59, of Gladewater, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) on Sept. 4. He was freed on $25,000 bond.
Christopher Dwayne McAnally Jr., 20, of Gilmer, terrroristic threat on Sept. 5. He was released on $25,000 bond.
Randy Ray Price, 37, of Winnsboro, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver (methamphetamine)–repeat offender on Sept. 25. He remained in county jail in Gilmer under $50,000 bond.
Kenneth Shane Bible, 41, of Gilmer, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) on Aug. 1. He was freed on $25,000 bond.
Hunter Lynn Williams, 29, of Pittsburg, burglary of a habitation on April 28. He was released on $10,000 bond.
Kenneth Wayne Thomas, 63, of Pittsburg, was charged in a single indictment with committing two counts of forgery Oct. 17, 2022. He was freed on $10,000 bond.
Alondra Barrientos, 21, of Longview, attempting to take weapon from officer on July 4, 2022. She was released on $10,000 bond.
Kyle Robert Ogle, 37, of Longview, unauthorized use of vehicle on Aug. 31, 2022. He was freed on $10,000 bond.
William Russell Bryant, 39, of Gilmer, repeated violation of court order or condition of bond two or more times within 12 months on Aug. 18. He remained jailed under $25,000 bond.
Identity of anyone charged in the sealed indictments wasn’t disclosed as Byrd said no arrests had been made in those cases.
They included, his office said, three for forgery (counting a single indictment on two counts of that crime), and one each for injury to elderly individual, unauthorized use of vehicle, and theft of property of the value of $2,500 or more but less than $30,000
Natures of the no-billed cases weren’t disclosed.
