Mirror welcomes local candidates to meet public Monday at Chamber

With two contested races on the City of Gladewater’s ballot this Spring, local voters have the chance to hear directly from the candidates April 7.
The Gladewater Mirror’s annual Candidates Forum is set for 6 p.m. Monday evening in the Gladewater Chamber of Commerce offices at 215 N. Main Street.
With polling set for May 3, all of this election season’s contenders are invited to share their views and field questions from Gladewater Mirror Publisher Jim Bardwell during the Q&A.
The Spring 2025 lineup includes incumbent Place 4 Councilman Teddy Sorrells and challenger William Blackmon as well as the Place 5 incumbent, Mayor Pro Tem Sonny Anderson, facing Mark McGinnis. Both Place 7 Council member Kevin Clark and Place 6 candidate Milton Anderson are unchallenged in their bids.
The last day to register to vote this election cycle was April 3, a month ahead of Election Day, the first Saturday of the month in May. Early voting begins April 22.
