For the reporting period of October 14th through the 20th, 2024, officers for the White Oak Police Department responded to, or initiated, 191 calls for service and assistance. Some of the most common calls were; Burglar Alarms, Investigative Follow-ups, Suspicious Activities, and Community Relations (burn permits, welfare checks, vacation home security checks, advice, etc.).
One traffic collision was investigated this week resulting in no injuries and no continuing criminal investigations.
Three people were arrested by White Oak Police during this reporting period:
Jerry Layne White, 55, of White Oak for Driving While License Invalid w/o Financial Responsibility. While in White Oak Jail, a warrant was sought for and obtained by White Oak Police and served on Mr. White for Aggravated Assault w/ a Deadly Weapon,
Christopher Bryan Ellis, 49, of Gilmer for Driving While Intoxicated, and
Robert Samuel Daniel, 55, of Gladewater on an outstanding Longview warrant for No Insurance.
White Oak Police obtained two arrest warrants for two separate suspects during this week; one for Aggravated Assault w/ a Deadly Weapon and the other for a Hit & Run Collision resulting in more than $200 in damage.
Four unrelated cases were submitted to the Gregg County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution; Burglary of a Habitation X 2, Fail to Leave Required Information After Striking Unattended Vehicle, and Driving While Intoxicated.
